ANTHEM – Nucleus (2019)

La incomparable banda japonesa ha firmado con Nuclear Blast. Para comenzar esta relación publicarán en marzo un álbum con canciones regrabadas y en inglés. Serán todas compuestas después de la reunión de 2001 excepto «Venom strike».

Japan’s leading traditional heavy metal band, ANTHEM, signed to Nuclear Blast Records to break into the worldwide market. The first release will be the entirely re-recorded greatest hits album with English lyrics. Mixing and mastering were done by Jens Bogren, who is an established producer / engineer known for having been working with a number of big bands. Jens’ works based on the elaborate theories and a great store of knowledge have been helping many bands’ careers, and ANTHEM’s case is no exception. This album with Jens’ fat sound with rich low-end is easily up par with the worldwide heavy metal standard.
The remarkable point about this release is that all the songs except “Venom Strike” were written after their reunion in 2001. This proves that Anthem always has been a “today’s band” that does not have to rely on their past.
This re-recorded greatest hits, “NUCLEUS”, including the variety of their classics is a monumental work, which perfectly shows the musical quality of ANTHEM and proves that they can be ranked as a top-notch band even in the international market. “NUCLEUS” declares “Japan has ANTHEM!” We, as a Japanese, are proud that this album is internationally released.
